The Young Atom Optician conference (YAO) is an annual international meeting of PhD and Master students working in the fields of Quantum Optics and Atomic and Molecular Physics. The conference is annually organised by local PhD students and since 1995 it has been held in different institutes all over Europe. In 2018 it will be hosted by the Optics Division at the University of Strathclyde in Glasgow. It is a great opportunity for PhD and Master students to present their work to a young audience of peers, exchanging experiences and ideas and giving them a chance to establish contacts with young researchers from all over the world.
